About Vicky

Human anatomy and health science have always been passions of mine. It is fascinating to me how the human body can adapt to so many new changes. I have wanted to be a physiotherapist since high school because it is a profession where I can have a direct impact on people’s lives by applying my anatomy- and evidence-based knowledge acquired through hands-on training and completing a degree at the University of Otago. Physiotherapy is a profession not only focused on returning people back to their normal functionality for day-to-day living but also on helping them get back to doing what they enjoy in life! I also very much enjoy meeting and interacting with new people from different backgrounds. This often allows me to understand and connect with my clients better, giving them the support they need to achieve their short-term and long-term goals. It might sound cliché but being able to provide a better quality of life for clients and their whanau is one of the biggest motivation for me as a physiotherapist.

In my spare time, you will find me exploring New Zealand as much as I can to make up for being born and raised in the concrete jungle of Hong Kong where there seems to be only tall buildings and people everywhere! I also love having a chill day just watching a movie and having a good yarn with my friends.
