About Shannon

Originally from South Africa, I obtained my physiotherapy degree in 2004. I moved to London in 2006 and spent 13 years working in a variety of different settings both in South Africa and the UK, including some early work in acute hospitals, community physiotherapy and occupational health. My passion was always and still is, the musculoskeletal field and I have worked in some top-rated physiotherapy clinics in London, covering a range of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. As well as this I've always had a special interest in sporting injuries and looking closely at the biomechanics that may have been at fault therefore causing that particular injury.

I have enjoyed some time away from physiotherapy raising my young family and getting settled into New Zealand life, but I am very excited to be returning to work and having the privilege of helping my clients on their rehabilitation and recovery journey.

I have a passion for running, having completed numerous half marathons and 1 full marathon. I love the physical and mental challenges that come with endurance sport, having recently completed my first Ironman 70.3 in Taupo as well as the Summer Challenge Women’s Adventure race. My experiences as a stay home mum and an injured athlete over the years, enables me to truley relate to my clients. Having been there myself, I understand the frustrations and the lows that come with having an injury and not being able to do the things you love most whether sports-related or not.

Let's turn those frustrations into triumphs, lows into highs, and get you back to where you want to be!
