As a competitive runner, I understand first-hand the frustrations that having an injury can bring. As a sports physiotherapist, I love the challenge of rehabilitating people from acute injury back to their full sport, while also further enhancing their peak performance & preventing re-injury. I have the pleasure of being able to combine my passion for running with a job that I really enjoy, morphing them together to lead our running performance programme – The Running Centre. I am also the running coach for Rangi Ruru Girls High School.
As well as my Physio Bachelor’s degree, I have also completed a post-graduate Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine. This has broadened my knowledge base significantly, enabling me to base my practice on current best evidence for a large range of sporting injuries. I aim to individualise my treatment plans and employ a large variety of manual handling techniques including dry needling into my sessions.
