I discovered my fascination in the human body and movement through my background in dance and gymnastics. I was always amazed at all the different ways the body moved and how it changed and adapted with practice and training. Pushing the muscles and joints to the extremes with performance and elite level competition, I often found myself or my team mates injured and unable to perform. Most of my injuries required time away from performance and many sessions spent with the physio, trying to problem solve and get back to optimal function.
Through my own experiences and my passion for helping those around me, I decided I wanted to follow physiotherapy as a career. I studied a Bachelor of Health Science/ Master of Physiotherapy at Western Sydney University, Australia. After a sometime spent travelling New Zealand, I knew I wanted to live and work here, moving to Christchurch in early 2018 and started with the amazing team at The Muscle People.
