With a love for science, human anatomy, people engagement and rehabilitation, physiotherapy has always been the career for me. I enjoy working with people to help achieve their goals post injury and be a part of their success story. Whether it be a goal as simple as maneuvering freely within your home, reducing pain or returning to performance sport, the rehabilitation journey is different for everyone. Being a part of this process requires a passionate and knowledgeable therapist who will help guide you along your path with a holistic approach.
Since graduating in 2014, I have mainly practised in neurological rehabilitation. This involves more slow stream rehab with often complex issues. Much of my knowledge is around normal movement patterns, biomechanics, orthotics and assistive equipment, exercise prescription and hydrotherapy. Moving to Muscle People has allowed me to further my knowledge in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and ignite more passions in areas such as shoulder rehabilitation and the dynamic spine.
Outside of my physiotherapy career I have been an adventure tour guide leading two week trips around the south island involving multi-day tramping, biking and kayaking adventures. I am a keen rock climber, trail runner and also volunteer for a local Rescue and Technical Support team that specializes in high angle rescue.
