About April

Throughout school I played a lot of sport, spending majority of my spare time either training or playing basketball and netball. I played netball at a representative level and learnt a lot about the various different elements that aim to enhance the overall performance of an athlete, and soon became aware of the importance of injury prevention. This sparked my interest in Physiotherapy from a young age, as I became very curious about how the body works/moves and what we can do to optimise performance at all levels.

My passion for Physiotherapy was cemented throughout my various Clinical placements while studying at the University of Otago. I find it hugely rewarding working with people, helping them to achieve their goals and being able to put a smile on their face as they get back to everyday life. Here at Muscle People we work closely with our clients to develop a treatment programme to aid in your rehabilitation and get you back on track and doing what you love.

I am a very active person and love the outdoors, therefore when I am not at work I take every opportunity to get outside and explore new places. I like to keep fit whether this involves running, going to the gym or just out on a walk with friends.
