About Stephanie

Steph has always been an avid athlete; it was as the result of a childhood injury that she realised the importance of Physiotherapy in the prevention and rehabilitation of injury. Now, she still is passionate about being active whether on the basketball court, a spartan race or hiking up a mountain.

Motivated by the latest addition to her wee family, Steph has decided to upskill in the field of Pelvic Health, with a special interest in pre and post natal. As part of the Muscle People team, she would love to be able to help patients with incontinence issues, prolapse, pelvic pain or tail bone injuries.

With her clients, she is dedicated to perfecting movement patterns, correcting imbalances and reducing pain. She has had particular success with dry needling and joint mobilisation to provide immediate and lasting relief, and has worked on a range of patients from recreational gym users to professional athletes. Her real aim is to ensure her patients leave with the knowledge of how to move safely and prevent reoccurrence.

Stephanie studied Physiotherapy at the University of Otago before starting her career in the Alexandra Physiotherapy and Fitness centre. It was here that she gained a broad experience of clientele; she treated musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions, and developed her special rapport with all her patients. In 2014, Stephanie made the leap to the Middle East and has never looked back. She has had six years of invaluable experience as a Physiotherapist in Kuwait, focussing predominantly on sports injury, as well providing client-specific personal training and rehabilitation to a range of ages and abilities.

Stephanie is looking forward to building strong relationships with her clients in Muscle People’s World class facilities, and continuing to reduce pain and improve movement.
