I worked for Muscle People for 12 months while living in Christchurch in 2009 and loved every minute of it! I was a new grad when they employed me and felt the whole team helped me develop my skills further. They have three clinics in Christchurch and I had the opportunity of working in all three. I met some amazing people and made friends for life!! The staff atmosphere is great - we even took part in a rowing regatta, something I had never done before! I held a huge varied caseload from sports injuries, back to work rehab and care of the elderly. As a new grad I was offered ample time for supervision and no question was ever stupid. As a new graduate from The University of Otago, I found this experience most rewarding and it has set me in great stead for the rest of my Physiotherapy career. I worked for Muscle People from 2008 to 2010, starting as a new grad. During my time there I gained a vast amount of knowledge and experience. This was in part due to their diverse client base which provided me with the opportunity to practice many different areas of physiotherapy.
