Laurie Moore
Senior Physiotherapist, Director

Laurie has more than 20 years of experience as a Physiotherapist and has been a director of the company for over 15 years. Laurie has specialised in complex musculoskeletal conditions and has worked closely with multidisciplinary teams and ACC Case Managers to rehabilitate Traumatic Brain Injury clients. She has experience in sports injuries having worked closely with HSOB rugby teams along with various other sports teams and events, and in particular in muscle balancing with elite athletes. Laurie also subscribes to the following special interest groups:

  • Sports Physiotherapy
  • Occupational Health Physiotherapy
  • Physiotherapy for the Older Adult Group
  • Neurology
  • Continence and Women's Health

Clare Brandrick
Senior Physiotherapist

Clare has more than 15 years experience as a Physiotherapist and joined the Muscle People team in 1998. She has worked closely with ACC in areas of complex injuries and rehabilitation of head injuries and also has a general interest in women's health. Clare has completed a pain management programme through ACC and post graduate papers in musculoskeletal conditions. Prior to joining Muscle People, she managed a rheumatology ward in the UK. Clare is currently working from Doctors on Cashel.

Clare’s areas of interest and expertise include:

  • complex injuries and pain management
  • sports and musculoskeletal injuries
  • ante and post natal musculoskeletal care
  • rheumatological conditions including RA , SLE and AS

Scott Suen
Physiotherapist

Scott graduated from School of Physiotherapy, University of Otago. Having gained his Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine, he specialises in diagnosing and treating sporting injuries. He also has 8 years of experience in treating musculoskeletal injuries and post surgical rehabilitation. Scott also speaks Mandarin. He is currently working in the Bishopdale YMCA Clinic.

After retiring from competitive fencing for Canterbury and New Zealand, Scott now enjoys running and playing basketball in his free time.

Scott's areas of interest and expertise include:

  • sports and musculoskeletal injuries
  • running and basketball



Louise Daw
Physiotherapist

Louise completed her physiotherapy training in 2003 and since then has worked in a variety of different settings within the UK.  Most recently she has worked for the Ministry of Defence, which allowed her to gain further experience with sports/training injuries and rehabilitation. Louise is working at the City YMCA Clinic and Bishopdale Clinic.

Her areas of interest include: 

  • sports and musculoskeletal injuries
  • acupuncture
  • pilates/core stability

Louise has completed several half marathons and a marathon but now enjoys keeping fit by swimming. cycling and walking in her spare time.   




Jaclyn Parker
Physiotherapist

Jaclyn graduated from Otago University School of Physiotherapy in 2010 and is commencing her career with Muscle People Physiotherapy. Her decision to become a Physiotherapist grew from her strong background in sports which includes being a member of the New Zealand Women's Handball team. As well as handball, her other main sports include basketball and rowing. She is currently working in the Bishopdale YMCA Clinic.

Jaclyn's areas of interest and expertise include:

  • sports medicine
  • sports and musculoskeletal injuries
  • handball, basketball and rowing

Nicole Hill
Practice Manager

Nicole has been a Practice Manager since 2001 and has a background in administration and financial management. She is currently a national executive member of the Practice Managers and Administrators Association of New Zealand (PMAANZ) and has been on the executive since 2007. Nicole joined Muscle People in 2008 and has an office in the City YMCA, but can also be found at the Bishopdale YMCA Clinic.

Nicole's areas of interest and expertise include:

  • quality systems and customer service
  • mentoring staff
  • professional development
  • PMAANZ

Julie O’Connor
Receptionist / Administrator

Julie has been with Muscle People since 2006. She works at the Bishopdale YMCA clinic and can help you with any questions you might have regarding appointments, services, products we sell, or billing requirements. Julie is one of our warm and welcoming team members.

Her interests include playing a variety of sports including cycling, touch and indoor netball but she mainly enjoys hockey.



Julie Fullen
Receptionist

Julie joined Muscle People in 2009, working part time at our Bishopdale YMCA Clinic but can also be found assisting us in the City YMCA Clinic. She can help you with any questions you might have regarding appointments, services, products we sell, or billing requirements. Julie has a passion for good customer service.

Her interests include hockey, soccer, camping and spending time with her family and friends.
