Laurie Moore
Senior Physiotherapist, Director

Laurie has more than 25 years of experience as a Physiotherapist and has been a director of the company for over 15 years. Laurie has specialised in complex musculoskeletal conditions and has worked closely with multidisciplinary teams and ACC Case Managers to rehabilitate clients. She has experience in sports injuries having worked closely with HSOB rugby teams along with various other sports teams and events, and in particular in muscle balancing with elite athletes.

Laurie's areas of interest and expertise include:

  • sports and musculoskeletal injuries
  • complex injuries and pain management
  • headache and migraine treatment
  • ante and post natal musculoskeletal care
  • muscle balancing
  • acupuncture
  • dry needling
  • kinesio taping
  • extensive experience in head injuries

Clare Brandrick
Senior Physiotherapist, Director

Clare has more than 18 years experience as a Physiotherapist and joined the Muscle People team in 1998. She has worked closely with ACC in areas of complex injuries and rehabilitation of head injuries and also has a general interest in women's health. Clare has completed a pain management programme through ACC and post graduate papers in musculoskeletal conditions. Prior to joining Muscle People, she managed a rheumatology ward in the UK. Clare is currently working from Doctors on Cashel.

  • muscle balancing
  • complex injuries and pain management
  • sports and musculoskeletal injuries
  • ante and post natal musculoskeletal care
  • rheumatological conditions including RA , SLE and AS
  • headache and migraine treatment

Jaclyn Parker
Physiotherapist

Jaclyn graduated from Otago University School of Physiotherapy in 2010 and commenced her career with Muscle People Physiotherapy. Her decision to become a Physiotherapist grew from her strong background in sports which includes being a member of the New Zealand Women's Handball team. As well as handball, her other main sports include basketball and rowing. She is currently working in the Bishopdale YMCA Clinic.

Jaclyn's areas of interest and expertise include:

  • sports medicine
  • sports and musculoskeletal injuries
  • handball, basketball and rowing



Jessica Satherley
Physiotherapist

Jessica graduated from the University of Otago, School of Physiotherapy in 2011 and is starting her career with Muscle People Physiotherapy. Her decision to become a physiotherapist was aided by a background in sport and exercise science and a strong interest in rehabilitation. She is currently working in the Bishopdale YMCA clinic.

Jessica's areas of interest and expertise include:

  • sports and musculoskeletal injuries
  • mechanical diagnosis and therapy



Zoe Rippon
Physiotherapist
 

Zoe graduated from the University of Otago, School of Physiotherapy in 2011, and has recently joined the team at Muscle People Physiotherapy to commence her career. She enjoys keeping fit by playing a variety of sports, and also represented Canterbury in basketball for seven years until 2011. She is currently working at both the Bishopdale and Doctors on Cashel clinics.

Zoe's area of interest and expertise include:

  • sports and musculoskeletal in juries
  • sports performance and muscle balance
  • basketball, netball, running and tennis

Nicole Hill
Practice Manager

Nicole has been a Practice Manager since 2001 and has a background in administration and financial management. She is currently a national executive member of the Practice Managers and Administrators Association of New Zealand (PMAANZ) and has been on the executive since 2007. Nicole joined Muscle People in 2008 and has an office in the City YMCA, but can also be found at the Bishopdale YMCA Clinic.

Nicole's areas of interest and expertise include:

  • quality systems and customer service
  • mentoring staff
  • professional development
  • PMAANZ

Julie O'Connor
Receptionist / Administrator

Julie has been with Muscle People since 2006. She works at the Bishopdale YMCA clinic and can help you with any questions you might have regarding appointments, services, products we sell, or billing requirements. Julie is one of our warm and welcoming team members.

Her interests include personal training and playing a variety of sports including road cycling, triathlon, hockey, skiing, handball, social netball and touch.





Julie Fullen
Receptionist

Julie joined Muscle People in 2009, working part time at our Bishopdale YMCA Clinic but can also be found assisting us in the City YMCA Clinic. She can help you with any questions you might have regarding appointments, services, products we sell, or billing requirements. Julie has a passion for good customer service.

Her interests include hockey, soccer, camping and spending time with her family and friends.




Tim Moore
Receptionist

Tim recently joined Muscle People as the full-time receptionist for the City YMCA clinic. He can help you with any questions you might have regarding appointments, services, products we sell, or billing requirements. Tim strives to provide the best service to customers that he can.

 

His interests include going to the Gym, running and playing Badminton.
