Muscle People Physiotherapy was formed by Laurie Moore in 1998 with a vision of providing professional and personal physiotherapy care. Our first practice was inside the Doctors on Cashel medical centre. We then opened another practice in 2003 inside the City YMCA in Hereford Street. In 2006, we opened our third practice inside the award winning Bishopdale YMCA and in 2009, we started providing services to Rannerdale Veterans Hospital and Home.
In November 2009, ACC ended the Endorsed Provider Network (EPN) for physiotherapists. This was replaced with an interim contract that means as a business, we now have a small part-charge for our services. Muscle People Physiotherapy clinics are accredited and hold certification status by HDANZ to the Allied Health Services Sector Standards 8171:2005 and are ACC approved treatment providers.
Our HDANZ certification means that for our clients, they can have confidence that we have effective management systems in place that work. It also demonstrates our commitment to quality of care, and that we have structured our services to meet the needs of the people who use them.
